- QIPC-EAE is setting new standards in newspaper
printing
World Publishing Expo 2017 in Berlin (10-12 October)
will have its worldwide premiere in the newspaper industry. QIPC-EAE will
present a new pioneering feature on the Desk 7: the control of multiple press
sections with just one desk or from a mobile platform, which can be used at any
location in the print production site.
With the introduction of the new Desk 7 during Drupa 2016, EAE entered a new chapter in the development of control consoles for newspaper printing. This chapter is now being continued by another innovation that is never been shown before in the newspaper industry. EAE’s control console, Desk 7, in combination with QIPC’s press automation solutions actually enables to control multiple press sections from one single desk.QIPC-EAE is setting new standards in newspaper printing
Not only will print production sites enter a next level when it comes to reducing labour. In addition, the EAE Desk 7 mobile platform, enables the press operator to control, intervene in the printing process and trouble-shoot the press from anywhere. The operator no longer needs to stand at his desk in order to monitor the print process. He now has the possibility to do that from any location offering more flexibility and possibly even lower manning. This was only made possible by really joining/merging the solutions of both QIPC and EAE.
One of the largest publishers in The Netherlands, De Persgroep, will be the first to implement this unique feature at their print production site in Amsterdam. From 2018, their titles like Volkskrant and Trouw will be printed simultaneously on 2 folders by just one operator from one Desk 7.
