Ahrensburg, June 2021 - Litosud has recently chosen to upgrade the entire scope of EAE Engineering Automation Electronics (EAE) solutions for the control of their newspaper printing presses at their print facilities in Pessano and Rome. This is close cooperation with GMDE, EAE's agent for Italy.

Thanks to the installation of the EAE systems, Litosud will be able to manage both the production of the newspapers and the presses themselves even more efficiently. EAE PrintPP, the solution chosen by Litosud, is ideal for printing centres that want to automate and streamline their production processes since it takes charge of two aspects of newspaper production: printing machine pre-setting and production planning. 

The complete upgrade of EAE systems now allows all their presses to be managed as a single system. This makes it easy and secure to move editions and pagination as well as a total newspaper, without errors or problems, from one press to another. In addition, the upgrade of all components and especially the EAE PrintPP system, which is the real heart of the system, makes it possible for Litosud to bring the presses to a higher level of production management and efficiency.

Litosud Srl is an industrial printing company, owned by the Farina family, which has been operating in the publishing sector for over 50 years. The company is present both in Rome and in Pessano con Bornago (MI), with two privately owned printing plants, with 38,000 square meters that provide sufficient working space to perform their daily service as contract printers to many Italian publishing houses. The main newspapers printed at the Litosud press centres are: La Stampa, Repubblica, La Verità, Italia Oggi, Milano Finanza, Libero, Il Fatto Quotidiano, il Tempo, Il Romanista, and many more. Inside the printing centers there are 8 Goss Universal, 5 Goss Uniliner presses and 1 KBA Colora press. In the prepress room, plate handling solutions of NELA are used for their high volume daily productions)
